By accessing and using Tijara.au (the “Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Platform.

2. User Accounts

2.1 Users may need to register an account to access certain features.
 2.2 You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details.
 2.3 You agree to provide accurate and current information when registering.
 2.4 You are responsible for all activity under your account.

3. Vendors

3.1 Vendors must register an account to sell on the Platform. Approval is not automatic.
 3.2 Vendors must self-declare as Muslim and affirm that their business and offerings align with Islamic values.
 3.3 Tijara.au reserves the right to approve or reject applications based on factors including:

  • a) The vendor’s self-declaration
  • b) The nature of the business and offerings
  • c) Alignment with Islamic values, as determined by Tijara.au
  • d) Completeness of the application

3.4 Vendors are responsible for the accuracy, legality, and Islamic compliance of listings.
 3.5 Tijara.au facilitates transactions but is not directly involved in sales. All sales contracts are made directly between the vendor and the buyer.
 3.6 Vendors must comply with platform policies, including pricing, fulfilment, and ethical conduct.
 3.7 Commission rates and fees are outlined in the vendor dashboard or onboarding agreement.
 3.8 Providing false or misleading information may result in suspension or termination.

4. Buyers

4.1 Buyers are responsible for order accuracy and payment details.
 4.2 Purchases are agreements between the buyer and vendor.
 4.3 Tijara.au is not liable for the quality, legality, or delivery of products or services.
 4.4 Disputes should be resolved with the vendor. Tijara.au may offer mediation at its discretion.
 4.5 If you have a complaint about a vendor or a transaction, you may contact us at salam [at] tijara.au. We will review the matter and may offer guidance or informal mediation at our discretion.

5. Events

5.1 Event organisers are responsible for their listings and event details.
 5.2 Ticketing and participation terms are set by the organiser.
 5.3 Tijara.au is not responsible for event delivery or outcomes.
 5.4 Event organisers must comply with consumer protection laws, including providing refunds for cancelled or significantly altered events.

6. Payment Processing

6.1 Payments are processed via third-party providers (e.g. Stripe).
 6.2 Users must comply with the terms of those providers.
 6.3 Tijara.au is not responsible for payment errors.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Platform design and content are owned by Tijara.au.
 7.2 Users may not reproduce, modify, or distribute platform content.
 7.3 Vendors retain ownership of their listings and materials.

8. Acceptable Use

Users must not:

  • Sell haram, prohibited, counterfeit, or illegal items
  • Harass or abuse others
  • Engage in spam, fraud, or unlawful activity
  • Misrepresent themselves or their business

9. Termination

Tijara.au may suspend or terminate accounts that:

  • Breach these terms
  • Misrepresent Islamic affiliation or business practices
  • Harm the community or platform

10. Privacy

Your personal data is handled according to our Privacy Policy. Use of the Platform implies acceptance of our data practices.

11. Limitation of Liability

11.1 The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available.”
 11.2 Tijara.au is not liable for any damages resulting from use of the Platform.

12. Consumer Guarantees

Nothing in these Terms excludes or modifies any guarantees, rights, or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law. Vendors are responsible for meeting these guarantees in all customer transactions.

13. Disclaimer

Tijara.au does not guarantee the accuracy or suitability of content or transactions. Use the Platform at your own risk.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Tijara.au against claims arising from your use of the Platform.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.

16. Changes to Terms

Tijara.au may update these Terms. Continued use signifies acceptance.
